Introducing CI-36: The Latest Addition to G5 BMS
Nuvation Energy’s G5 High Voltage Battery Management System product line is expanding to add a new family of Cell Interface modules. The new Cell Interface, the CI-36, will allow for higher density energy storage systems, particularly those using 52s and 104s battery module configurations
Compared to the existing CI-24, the new CI-36 will provide:
- Additional battery cell measurement channels, up to 36
- Additional thermistor measurement channels, up to 21
- Additional Linkbus connection option suited for certain battery module/tray designs
- Similar electrical characteristics to the CI-24
- Similar enclosure, expanded to allow for additional battery/thermistor connections
- Compatible with existing Gen 5 Stack Switchgear
- Will be UL recognized (UL 1973:2022, certification pending)
- Designed and developed in the US and Canada with manufacturing in Canada
In addition to the new CI-36 module, Nuvation is also launching a new Cell Interface system optimization program. Under this program, volume customers can work with Nuvation and define reduced battery cell and thermistor measurement active channel counts per CI-36 to achieve even better cost optimizations.
