Get Started
INSTALLING AND SETTING UP THE BMS
- Download the following:
- Product Manual – This PDF contains the full instructions for your BMS.
- Operator Interface – This zip file contains the interface software to operate your BMS.
- Review Safety Warnings: The G5 High-Voltage BMS is to be installed in a location with restricted access. Only skilled persons may install or service a system containing hazardous voltages that are present when the system is energized.
Prior to installation, please review the full set of safety warnings provided in the Product Manual.
Follow the ‘Installation Instructions’ in the Product Manual.
- Wire the BMS and Batteries: Connect the G5 Stack Switchgear unit and G5 Cell Interface modules to your system.
- Install the Operator Interface: Unzip the contents of the Operator Interface software on your PC and configure your PC to communicate with the BMS.
- Power on the BMS: The G5 Stack Switchgear can now be powered on and the Operator Interface can be launched.
USING THE BMS
- Review Product Operating Limits: Exceeding the ratings of the BMS product will damage the system.
Please review the ‘Operating Limits’ section in the Product Manual. - Using the Operator Interface: The Operator Interface is a browser-based graphical view of the system state, data, and configuration.
Follow the ‘Using the Operator Interface’ section of the Product Manual.
If you haven’t already installed and configured the Operator Interface, please follow the Installation Instructions > Operator Interface’ section in the Product Manual.
HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR BMS FIRMWARE VERSION
There are two ways you can find your BMS firmware version:
- Operator Interface Dashboard: You can find your BMS firmware version in the footer of the operator interface dashboard page.
- About Tab: You can find your BMS firmware version in the About tab from the settings menu item.
