Building a 2 MW Energy Storage System

Nuvation Energy designed this custom energy storage system from the ground up. In the event of a grid power failure, this compact 588 kWh ESS outputs 2 MW of power for 15 minutes. It transitions a wastewater treatment plant in Santa Rosa, CA from grid power to diesel backup generators. We used the largest inverter that in Parker Hannifin’s Grid-Tie Division had, with support for up to 1200 V DC and 2 MW. Click here to learn more.
